Introducing Merkl Pay: Private Token Transfers for Everyone
Sending tokens onchain leaves a trace. Merkl Pay changes that: private transfers, no account, no KYC, free to use. All in a dedicated app.

What is Merkl Pay?
Merkl Pay is a simple app for private money transfers between wallets. No account. No KYC. No top-up required.
With Merkl Pay, you can:
- Send tokens to any wallet address, privately
- Request a payment by generating a prepayment link to share with someone
- Collect received funds directly from your dashboard
It works across 60+ chains and supports more than 1,000 tokens including USDC, USDT and ETH. And it is free to use!
The privacy layer
When you send tokens directly onchain, the transaction is permanently visible. Anyone can see which wallet sent what to whom.
Merkl Pay changes that. Instead of sending tokens directly to the recipient, you send them to Merkl. Merkl then distributes them on your behalf.
From an outside observer's perspective, the transaction shows only that Merkl distributed tokens to an address, exactly like the millions of other reward distributions Merkl processes every month.
The sheer scale of Merkl is what makes this effective. Hundreds of protocols, across dozens of chains, are constantly funding campaigns and having tokens distributed through the same contract. A private transfer is buried in that volume, with no onchain signal pointing back to the original sender.
Merkl already makes transfers hard to trace. But there is one extra step that makes correlation practically impossible: use rounded amounts. We recommend using rounded amounts whenever possible for stronger privacy.

With no way to trace the origin of funds, money transfers become private.
Powered by Merkl
Because Merkl Pay is built on Merkl's distribution infrastructure, private transfers follow the same mechanics as any other reward campaign.
Two things to keep in mind:
Transfers take around 8 hours to arrive.
After funding a transfer, the Merkl Engine processes the distribution and pushes it onchain. This typically happens within 2 to 12 hours. It is the same timeline as any token reward on Merkl.
Recipients need to collect their funds.
Just like rewards on Merkl, transferred tokens are not automatically sent to the recipient's wallet. They appear in the recipient's Merkl dashboard and must be collected. The recipient connects their wallet, sees the available tokens, and collects them in one transaction.
How it works
Getting started is straightforward.
- Go to pay.merkl.xyz
- Click on Send
- Enter the amount and the recipient address
- Confirm the transfer
A few hours later, the recipient can collect their payment directly in the app.
