My wallet address has been blacklisted. Why?

TL;DR: Your behavior does not comply with Merkl's terms of use.

Merkl automatically blacklists addresses that display suspicious behavior or that try to game the system, such as:

  • withdrawing liquidity before a swap and then re-adding it afterward (aka just-in-time or JIT attacks). These users are attempting to capture rewards without actually fulfilling the role of an LP during swaps.

  • wash trading to artificially inflate rewards. This typically involves addresses trading in pools where they hold positions specifically to maximize rewards.
